Mark 14: 1 - 11

I am not a great Blogger. This is my first one. As we look at this passage there are some wonderful thoughts I'd like to share..

1. The passage starts with Jesus reclining at the table whilst - the Jews were planning on a Plot to "Kill" Jesus.
The Almighty God did know what was behind him but he was Reclining at the Table.
Lesson : I don't think I got a burden like facing death but even if may be so .. leave it at the table and he will take care of it. (Ps 23: 5) recline at the Table Christ has spread out.

2.  Talks of Simon the Leper. Lepers' were out cast's so this must be the one who was healed by Christ and now back into community. But the lady was a sinner. Who has experienced forgiveness mentioned in other gospels so she is practically into Christ  even if not into the community
Lesson: Leper was also cleansed (Externally) whilst the woman was revived ( internally) so she wept at his feet ( He refreshes my soul Psalms 23:3)

3. The cost of the Perfume as mentioned is a years wages. If I started saving from age if 13 like "Warren Buffet" Still I might not spend a years wages on perfume. Foxes have holes but the Son of Man did not have a place to rest His head.. and why would I spend that expensive perfume at his feet? But Christ Appreciated that.
Lesson: Use your life time saving for Christ - your talent you developed in life time. Your knowledge you learnt in life time, your Education, your health and your wealth. My cup will overflow.

Most importantly

4. "Poor you will have always with you"
Lesson: You can Serve the purpose of Christ any time but most important is Serving at HIS Feet
that is Mediating on HIS words and kneeling at his feet.

What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? Psalms 8:4 But he made us a little lower than Angels and Crowned with Glory and Honor. How majestic is your name in all the Earth Oh Lord our God!
